detailed instructions about the shipping procedure of the biological samples
to the laboratory.

Eurofins Genoma offers a free genetic counseling, both pre- and post- test, in order to inform the pregnant women about the purposes of the analysis, the achievable results and the emerged findings at the completion of the exam, in particular in cases of pathological result. The afore-mentioned topics are summarized in the informed consent form, which must be signed before the test is performed. You can reserve the counseling calling our Contact Center at

Perform the blood sampling at your
trusted gynecologist or
referral analysis laboratory, or go to one of the certified facilities of the
PrenatalSAFE®network.
The day of the test, bring with you the
PrenatalSAFE® transport box you received. If you do not have a referral Centre we can suggest you a laboratory/doctor affiliated with Eurofins Genoma. In fact, thanks to our
network of certified facilities, it is possible to make
PrenatalSAFE®
throughout the Italian territory.
Deliver to your doctor the printed
collection form and the box, request the
filling out and the signature. Have 8-10
ml of blood taken (test tube supplied in
the kit), following the instructions
provided inside the container. Pack the
blood tubes for the shipping by
following the instructions provided.
Assignment for blood sampling
Fill out and sign the test requisition and informed consent forms included in the kit received (forms with protocol number), essentials to perform
PrenatalSAFE® test on the blood sample collected.

Ship the samples to the laboratory performing the procedure described in the brochure included into the transport box.
In the laboratory the plasma will be separated from the blood samples and the fetal DNA will be isolated, on which PrenatalSAFE® will be performed.
In about
3-7 working days from the receiving of the samples, you will receive PrenatalSAFE® outcome in the method specified during the order. The test report will be sent via e-mail. You can also decide to receive the result by regular mail. Otherwise, you can acquire the online report by accessing the reserved area for the laboratory reports.
The estimated reporting times are approximately 3-7 working days, depending on the type of the test and procedure requested.
