Who can perform the test?

PrenatalSAFE® test can be performed from the 10th week of gestation (dated on the last period) and every mother to be can undergo the test.

It is recommended to perform PrenatalSAFE® test in case of:

• singleton pregnancies obtained via natural conception or via assisted reproductive technology, both homologous and heterologous;
• twin pregnancies obtained via natural conception or via assisted reproductive technology. In these pregnancies is not possible to perform the test for chromosomes X and Y yet, but only for chromosomes 13, 18, 21.
• previous pregnancies ended in miscarriage or followed by voluntary termination of pregnancy.
